Working as a staff is a Vismara tradition. In fact, the company has always worked alongside designers and experts to meet the goals of every single project as quickly and as best as possible, as architect Alessandro Vismara, President of Vismara Marine tells us.
AV – Ever since I, as a young designer, began collaborating on new vessels, I have sought to team up with important designers and shipyards: I have always thought that working with “the good ones” would allow me to learn an incredible amount. Even just observing a great colleague allows one to learn a lot about the work itself, but also about organization and method, which, in my opinion, are aspects just as important as technical competence.
With time I opened my own studio and eventually we created the Vismara Marine of today: even now, as handlers of the project on the shipowner’s behalf, we seek to work as a staff whenever possible in order to offer the best to every project. Indeed, for us it is a source of pride to be able to expand our collaborations and offer our clients the best skills for every single aspect of their vessel. For years our design office has actively and continuously collaborated with some of the most famous and accredited specialists, from Mark Mills of the Mills Design Studio to Guillaume Verdier, from Rolf Vrolijk to German Frers, just to name a few; with architects Luca Dini and Lucio Michelotti, and with some of the most innovative production companies, such as Cariboni. Thanks in part to our partners’ contribution, we seek to guide the shipowner as best as possible in their choices, in line with the project itself, and with respect to their needs.
Together, relying on professionalism and science-based design methods, we seek to gather excellence for a common objective: create the best vessel for the shipowner’s dream.
