The hull, deck and bulwarks have been made in carbon fibre and
epoxy resin, vacuum laminated and post-cured for 12 hours at
60° with interior fittings made with sandwich structures to limit
displacement to within the 14,000 kg envisaged. To make solitary
sailing easier with a boat of this size, an automated system has been devised with hydraulic furling mainsail, automatic main halyard on captive winch, furling jib, fore sail and code zero. The jib and main sheets are adjusted by magic trim, while the stern door and anchor arm are hydraulically controlled. The bimini top, powered by gas pistons, retracts into the back of the cockpit, while the electrical, remote-controlled gangway and splash hood are also retractable.
